BRIEF

In 2020 the hospitality industry was severely hit by the Coronavirus pandemic. The knock-on effect meant that designers who serve that industry were also left high and dry. My oft time collaborator, Finch Interiors, found themselves in that sticky situation. Quickly pivoting Sophie Finch, creative director, turned her maximalist eye to the home. She is on a mission to banish the beige and make your home as extra as you are.

Good Time Group commissioned the partnership of Finch Interiors and myself to create a new cocktail bar concept in Bournemouth.

APPROACH

Extrapolating the concept of 'extra' I thought news tickers would be a great way to frame Sophie's creations. Get Finched is an interior design inspiration site, packed with clever tips and and OTT lewks to create the perfect backdrop to the movie of your life. The concept is simple: each month Sophie selects a fantasy dream client (anyone from Killing Eve's Villanelle to Grace Jones) and creates an interiors scheme for different rooms in their house.

The branding had to be distinctive on Instagram and on her website where she saves an archive of her creations. My favourite part? Raining rainbow poo in the search function.
